Sautéed Greens

Green veggies! This is a very healthy option for a side dish. One of my hubby’s “on a whim” meals.

I’m assuming most chefs do this… But he can literally open the refrigerator door and pull out a bunch of random things and make an amazing meal out of it. I’m impressed every day.

When we first started dating, he had more of a “normal” schedule since he was in school. He would come over to my moms a couple times a week and raid her refrigerator and make a crazy creation out of ingredients I never knew we had! We had a personal chef a few times per week. We loved it after a long day of clinical and work.

Here’s the recipe:

1/2 head chopped Broccoli

1 head of chopped kale

1/2 yellow onion

3 cloves garlic

1 bunch chives

2 tbs olive oil

4 tbs champagne vinegar

Dash of red pepper flakes

1 tbs soy sauce

1 tbs Worcester sauce

Cracked pepper

Heat oil over med high. Sautée onions first for 2 minutes. Throw in Kale and broccoli; cook 2-3 minutes. Add garlic last with remaining ingredients and sautée 3 more minutes until veggies reach desired softness.
