Cherry Flax Smoothie

πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’

Thank God Its Friday!

It’s been a long week to say the least. Feeling sick and having to go to work every day to take care of the sick is not a fun combination. I’m finally feeling like I’m back to normal.

This smoothie was a random concoction… Grocery shopping needs to be done as soon as possible! It tasted great, and with the Greek yogurt and spinach, it includes about 14 grams of natural protein.

I really try my best to add greens to every smoothie I make and I can not taste it… I promise. Once you get past the green color, you’ll be adding spinach and/or kale to every smoothie! Greens have so many natural vitamins and nutrients that we need to keep us healthy. This is a great way to incorporate them in your diet even if you don’t like eating them cooked or in salads.

For the smoothie:

3/4 cup baby spinach

1/2 cup frozen mango chunks

1/3 cup pineapple

1 Simply 100 Chobani cherry greek yogurt container

1 cup So Delicious Almond Milk Plus Protein

1 tsp flax seeds

5-6 ice cubes depending on personal preference.

I don’t have a grinder for my flax seeds so I just place them at the bottom of the blender so they are the first thing to be chopped. I usually don’t end up with whole seeds in my smoothies. Blend 45 seconds and enjoy!
