In the drop down menu you will find my weekly meal plans. I usually do my really big grocery trip once every two weeks and stock up on the essentials (i.e., milk and bananas) once a week. I usually always have items like olive oil, vinegars, spices, on hand so I do not include that in my budget unless I run out of one of the items. I spend a little over $200 every two weeks and that feeds 2 adults and one child. I take my lunch every single day, cook 4-5 times a week, and pack Zaylee’s lunch every day.
I’ve recently done my major grocery trip at the local Harris Teeter, and then I go to Trader Joe’s for organic essentials, some meats, and all produce. I tried Trader Joe’s for the first time last grocery trip for those items and I’m not sure I can go back to regular shopping! The produce (and wine… GOTTA have wine) are awesome prices!!
I hope these meal plans help you as they’ve helped me… writing out what I’m going to eat each week really helps me stay on track and at the right fitness level. This summer has been really hard for me because we’ve had so many fun things going on so it’s about time I get back to it. I try hard not to get too upset with myself when I fall back on my healthy eating because I know tomorrow is a new day.
